Women in Leadership - Holly Bunch

During Women’s History Month, RealManage is spotlighting the leaders whose experience, dedication, and perspective continue to shape our organization and the communities we serve. In this installment, we highlight Holly Bunch CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, Regional President for the Carolinas and Georgia, whose career journey reflects a deep commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and building strong markets from the ground up.

Holly’s path into community association management began shortly after college with a receptionist role that introduced her to the community management industry. What started as an entry-level position quickly grew into a long-term career built on curiosity, opportunity, and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Growing Alongside the Market

Holly joined RealManage in 2015 as a senior community association manager in the Raleigh/Durham market at a time when the company’s presence in the region was still developing. With only one contract and a small group of communities from an acquisition, the market was just beginning to establish its footing.

Holly embraced the opportunity to help build something from the ground up. Through consistent client service, strong operational practices, and a commitment to relationship-building, the market grew organically from six communities to more than seventy.

As the Raleigh market expanded, Holly’s leadership responsibilities expanded with it. She moved through several key roles, including Director of Community Association Management, Vice President of Operations, and Division President, each providing broader perspective and experience.

In January 2024, Holly was promoted to Regional President overseeing North and South Carolina, and in April 2025, her leadership responsibilities grew again to include the Georgia market.

Serving the Team That Serves Our Clients

While Holly’s role involves overseeing operations across multiple states, the most meaningful part of her work centers on the people who make RealManage’s service possible.

She works closely with a team that includes market leaders, directors of community association management, community association managers, assistant managers, and inspectors. Supporting and developing this group is what brings her the greatest sense of fulfillment.

Holly approaches leadership with a simple but powerful philosophy: leadership is about supporting the people who support the client.

“Serving those who serve our clients is something I take very seriously,” she explains. “Because without them, there would be no ‘us.’”

Creating Space for Women to Lead

As a woman leader, Holly is intentional about mentoring and supporting other women as they grow in their careers. Her leadership style emphasizes teamwork, transparency, and empowerment.

She works to ensure that team members feel confident making decisions and understand that mistakes are part of the learning process rather than something to fear.

Open and honest conversations are central to her approach. Whether she is helping someone navigate a difficult situation, encouraging them to pursue a new opportunity, or reminding them to trust their abilities, Holly strives to create an environment where women feel supported and capable of stepping into leadership roles.

Leading by example is equally important to her. By sharing challenges, lessons learned, and personal experiences, she demonstrates that strong leadership can include both resilience and support.

Learning from Every Role

Holly believes that leadership is shaped by experience, and she has gained valuable insight from every role she has held throughout her career.

Each role she’s held has provided a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and challenges faced by team members across the organization.

This perspective allows her to advocate for others more effectively and make decisions that reflect the realities of day-to-day operations.

Outside of work, Holly balances several important roles as well. She is a wife, mother, and daughter, and she acknowledges that balancing professional and personal responsibilities can be challenging.

For her, maintaining balance requires grace and self-awareness—recognizing when it is time to disconnect, focus on one role at a time, and encourage others to do the same.

Trusting Your Abilities

When it comes to career growth, Holly’s advice for women pursuing leadership roles centers on confidence and perseverance.

She encourages women to approach opportunities believing they are capable and worthy of the role in front of them.

Doubt can sometimes appear before a challenge even begins, but Holly believes that confidence grows through effort and determination. Even when outcomes don’t unfold as hoped, whether it’s a missed promotion or an award that goes to someone else, those experiences can serve as motivation to keep moving forward.

Success, she believes, often comes to those who continue showing up, giving their best effort, and trusting that their time will come. When that moment arrives, she says, they will shine.
