In community association management, strong leadership often shows up in financial decisions, operational discipline, and the day-to-day experience of residents and board members.
As part of our Women’s History Month series, we sat down with Nancy Crouch Morlini, our Executive Vice President, Shared Services, to talk about her career journey, leadership philosophy, and what it really takes to support communities at the national scale RealManage’s Shared Services team does every day.
A Career Built on Operations, Technology, and Leadership
More than 20 years ago, Nancy relocated to the Dallas–Fort Worth area from her hometown in Alabama to join American Airlines, where she worked alongside one of the largest credit unions in the country at the time. That experience shaped her early leadership perspective and marked the first time she was led by a female CEO, a notable influence. “It is also where I fell in love with the technology industry, specifically software as a service (SaaS),” she shared.
Over the next decade, Nancy built her expertise across financial services, operations, and technology. She later moved into a startup environment, where she helped build service delivery functions from the ground up, gaining firsthand experience in both speed and scaling a service organization.
In community association management, Nancy saw a clear opportunity: apply structured operations and connected systems to an industry that was becoming increasingly complex.
Today, at RealManage, that perspective is central to how Shared Services supports communities every day, bringing together financial oversight, operational consistency, and technology to help boards make informed, confident decisions.
What Leadership Looks Like in Practice

As Nancy’s career has progressed, so has her role as a mentor. “I’ve realized over time that I’m often the most experienced woman in the room. That comes with responsibility.”
Nancy shared that her focus is on building confident, capable teams who can think critically, communicate clearly, and support communities effectively,
“I’ve come to recognize that I have an obligation to lift others up and pass on my experience, I can do that by making time. If another woman needs or wants time with me, it becomes a priority. Whether it’s meeting, reviewing an email, or reading a proposal, I’m there, and I give candid feedback. I don’t pull punches, and I don’t sugarcoat. Direct is kind. Who’s going to tell them if not me? After all, they asked.”
In an industry built on trust and relationships, that investment in people has a ripple effect. Stronger leaders internally lead to stronger support for boards, residents, and communities.
Advice for Women—and all Leaders—Looking to Grow
- Be honest about what growth requires. Leadership takes time and energy—make sure you have the capacity to take it on. There will be tradeoffs.
- Know your “why.” Whether it’s impact, growth, or compensation, clarity matters.
- Expect to be challenged. Leadership is a journey, and it will humble you, seek candid feedback from people you trust often.
- Be bold. Know your worth, ask for what you want, and step into opportunities before they’re formally offered.
