As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month blog series, we’re spotlighting Hispanic leaders and associates across RealManage and sharing the experiences, cultures, and values that have shaped who they are—both personally and professionally.

Next up is Natalie Oliveros, LCAM, Vice President of Onsite Management for RealManage Elevated Onsite in South Florida. A Cuban American born in Miami and raised largely in New Jersey and New York, Natalie eventually found her way back to Florida—the place she had always considered home.

Her career has taken her from real estate development to property management, operations, and leadership. But ask Natalie what has shaped her most, and the conversation quickly turns to family—especially her grandmother.

A Question Can Take You All the Way to Rome

Natalie grew up hearing plenty of Cuban sayings, but one from her grandmother has stayed with her:

“Preguntando se llega a Roma.” Loosely translated: By asking questions, you can make your way all the way to Rome.

It fits Natalie well. She has always been curious about people and unafraid to ask questions. If she doesn’t know something, she asks. If she has doubts, she looks for more information. And if there’s a problem, she wants to understand it well enough to find a solution.

That curiosity is something she traces back to her grandmother. “She could talk to almost anyone and somehow discover something interesting about them,” Natalie said. “I believe I inherited that from her.”

Her grandmother was confident, charismatic, and genuinely interested in the people around her. She knew her neighbors, greeted everyone, and made people feel seen. Through her example, Natalie learned a lesson that would eventually become central to her own approach to relationships and leadership: everyone has a story, and it’s worth taking the time to hear it.

Carrying Cuban Traditions Forward

Natalie’s Cuban heritage is deeply connected to family, resilience, confidence, conversation, and a passion for life. And when her family gets together, those traditions are easy to spot.

Holidays mean traditional Cuban food, music, stories, plenty of conversation, and everyone gathering together. As Natalie jokes, like many Hispanic families, getting together rarely means doing anything quietly. But underneath the food and laughter is something more meaningful: connection across generations.

It has always been important to Natalie that her children understand where their family came from and carry pieces of that history and culture forward. Food, music, sayings, traditions, and family stories all help keep that connection alive.

From Real Estate to RealManage Elevated Onsite

Natalie’s career in real estate and property management began in New Jersey, where she worked for a developer and discovered an industry that quickly captured her interest. After starting her own family, she returned to Florida, and her career continued to evolve through real estate, property management, leadership, and operations. Eventually, that path brought her to RealManage.

Natalie has now been with the company for more than four years, and one of the things she appreciates most is the opportunity to grow alongside the organization. Today, as VicePresident of Onsite Management for RealManage Elevated Onsite, she helps lead onsite operations in South Florida.

The work suits someone who describes herself as a resolution-oriented problem solver. No two communities, Boards, projects, or challenges are exactly alike—and that means there is always another question to ask, something new to learn, and a problem waiting to be solved.

How Heritage Shapes the Way Natalie Leads

The lessons Natalie learned growing up have followed her into her career—especially the importance of being genuine. “Relationships are not built simply by saying the right things,” she said. “They are built through consistency, actions, sincerity, and trust.”

That philosophy influences how Natalie works with her teams and the Boards and communities RealManage Elevated Onsite serves. She wants people to know she is invested in the outcome alongside them. There may be different perspectives on how to solve a challenge, but the goal is to work through it together.

Her Cuban heritage also taught her to ask questions, speak up, solve problems, and bring some passion to the process. As Natalie puts it, “We are Cuban, after all.”

What Does Leadership Mean to Natalie Oliveros?

Natalie doesn’t define leadership by the words on a business card.“Leadership is not about a title. Leadership is about the impact you have on people.”

It’s a lesson that takes her back, once again, to her grandmother. Natalie watched her change someone’s mood or make a person feel important simply by acknowledging them and taking a genuine interest in who they were.

That example continues to influence the leader Natalie strives to be today. Whether she is talking with an associate, a Board member, or someone she has just met, she believes trust starts when people know the interest you’re showing them is real.

And perhaps that brings her story back to the Cuban saying she heard growing up. Preguntando se llega a Roma. Ask the question. Be curious. Get to know the person in front of you. You never know where the conversation might take you.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, Natalie’s story is a celebration of the family, traditions, lessons, and experiences we carry forward—and the many ways they can continue to shape how we connect with and lead others.
